Twenty Degrees Warm

COLD! The keeper slept in till 11 today and we did not rouse her because she is warm and we can sleep on top of her. But she let us go out for the first time in a week, and we rushed back in. I was afraid my paws would fall off. I spent the rest of the day sleeping over the heat vent. Alice sat on her perch and counted birds. The keeper came home with a pair of suede boots with fur inside. She put them on and she may sleep in them too. She also brought home a little tree which she put in the living room. It's fresh and smells good. She got it from a man who has a tree farm West of Olympia. He has been selling trees in our neighborhood from way before we moved in. She is not going to decorate it for awhile. That means we will be patient. We love knocking the ornaments off. She puts the breakable ones near the top. We think we will be having a quiet night. She wants to read. We will let her.
