Another Halloween at Headquarters

Happy Halloween!
We did nothing.
The trick or treaters all came before she got home.
We have strict instructions never to open the door to strangers.
Now we have 4 bags of candy.

However, at her office today, they judged the decorative doors.

Accounting had jokes most of us didn't get.

IT came in first, but they turned their door decorations into a  haunted house vestibule complete
with a smoke machine, lights, and sound. Some disputes their win because technically their winning display was behind the door.

Fund Development came in a very classy second.

Another Beautiful Leafy Day

The new front yard is almost complete!
We have not been out to play in it yet, but the squirrels are.

Francis is collecting leaves too.

The backyard is starting to fill up.

The deck is finally draped in color too.

Barber!

She came home very late.
We were ready to eat again.
But she and Suzy also saw Barber,
and what a rollicking romp that was!

Luna and Golden Needle

Dia de los Muertos

Lucy and I dined early.
She left us for Seattle Center where the Dia de los Muertos
celebrations were in progress.

The Katrina was decked out and having a good time.

Fewer altars than last year.

New patio

The front patio is shaping up nicely.
Jesus and Douglas were able to take advantage of the sun
and leveled and laid the stone pavers.
Dee really knows her stuff!

Luna del Otoño

She leaves as the dark of morning diminishes, and comes home
as the dark descends.
So she cannot see the great work being done in the front yard.
And we can't find the language to tell about it.
But we all can see la luna!

After the Rain

After the deluge, the sun came out Sunday.
And we could see the colors exploding.

Welcome home!

She couldn't see what the front looked like last night.
We have been supervising  the project in her absence.
When she saw it this morning she was very happy and late for Mass.

Dee even tackled the front porch.

Jesus is digging and leveling the ground for the new patio.
We have lots more dirt in the back yard now.

And the summer lilacs are holding their own.

Back to Tacoma---Cornerstone

She left us for a conference. We had a good pet sitter.
We supervised the front yard landscaping for her.
She went to the town where she used to live.
The conference was good, 900 people,
and she found Ralph McCloud inspiring.
She had a good time with her friends and made a few new ones.

It rained in Tacoma as well.

The town is looking way better than when she lived there.
It might even be fun to  visit now.
