Thursday Camino into the dusk

The tulip looked like the x-ray of Oliver's lungs.

Bon Anniversaire #104!

Yesterday, April 26th, was our mother's birthday.
In fact, it was her 104th birthday!

Here she was--the baby, with her mother and Helen and Ruth.

Here she is in NYC near her apt in Greenwich Village.

Here she is with the keeper in Vancouver.

And here she is at our  beloved place in Cannon Beach

Bon anniversaire!

Earth Day Flowers

Last of the narcissi

Late blooming tulip tree

and yards full of tulips

and fields full of new grass and blue bells.

Keeper’s Earth Day Outing

She did not have to wear a harness.
She just walked...and walked..
down to the lake.

Others had left Earth Day gifts.

Others took to the water.

Others enjoyed their gardens.

Oliver’s Earth Day Outing

The sun was out.  It was warm.
The keeper brought the harness out.
I realized this was my only ticket out.
I let her put it on.

Finally, the green grass and sun and birds, and scent of possum,
squirrel and that new dark gray cat.

I loved it.

I feasted like a cow on the new spring grass.

Then I was brought back in.
I hope we do this again soon.

Celebrating Sun pre-Sunset

Tonight we were fed and as we ate
she slipped out for a pre-sunset camino.
What a difference a little sun can make.
The tulips, the layers of clouds, the lake, the mountain,
the spring green,
and even the slivery moon shines!
