She is also on holiday

She didn’t leave in a disgusting cage.
No, she boarded a big silver tube
And bedded down untilshe saw sun rise over London.

She was transported by little trains from one gate to another

And lounged gracefully as she waited for connecting flights.

We are on holiday

The keeper cannot take
us with her,
And we don’t even like traveling down the street to the vet.
(Well, that’s a no braine!)but she gave us some kitty calmer drops, we went back into those disgusting cages and went for a long ride. We hoped it wasn’t to a farm. We know what happens to animals that go to a farm.
We were pleasantly surprised to arrive at our old house.
It was warm, smelled like children, and we have settled back into our old life.

You may ask about the keeper’s whereabouts.
She said she starts inIndiana and then goes far far away.

It’s a pretty good arrangement for us.

A 5:30 pm view

She made a cat food run to Mud Bay
and came back with food for us
and a snap of the mountain on a very cold early eve.

brunch with wise women

She did not come back from the cathedral right away.
No, she went out to brunch with two friends who are her same age
And it seems they had plenty catching up to do at one of her old favorite Madrona eating spots.

Remembering A Prince

Tonight we lit the candles on the 8th anniversary of
HRH Prince Anastassi crossing the Rainbow Bridge.
We are told he is yukking it up with his beloved friends Lord Downs and Lady Alice.
We hear he was quite the fussy gentleman with a pugilistic streak.

Black History Month at HQ

Every week we are treated to a new display of Black history.
This is truly a work of love and pride.

Two Trains

We ate early.  She was off to the Rep to see Two Trains Running.

When she came home she told us that the acting was superb and
she liked it very much. We are glad for her.

At Last! On Candlemas!

Today is a day of remembering those who have waited..
be they Simeon or Anna who waited a long time to catch sight of the Messiah,
or those who now wait for persecution, or poverty, or drought, or who await deportation
hearings or sentencing hearings or  love or a change in policy or practice.

Today the first paper white which we plotted in the rocks on the first day of Advent,
finally blossomed.  Only fitting!
