Godspeed, Dear Marilyn
This beautiful sunny morning the keeper left us for a funeral. This was a very significant funeral which marked the passing of a key, but often invisible, player in the Church of Western Washington, the keeper told us. This was a celebration of a woman of valour, a disciple, a servant, a woman who never stopped opening her heart to transformation. She carried the secrets, the sorrows, the hidden joys of the best and saddest of times in our Church. She lived with such kindness, dignity, and grace. It will be hard to imagine life here without her. Marilyn, you have run the race, you have kept the faith---may the crown of righteousness be yours now!
