Well, such excitement today! After the big bike ride into town to search for tasteful tchotchkes, if those two words can be used in the same phrase, the keeper spent the afternoon riveted to a book about post-Vatican II battles. But the drama occurred when the power went down. Lightning? No. Too many people using air conditioning? No! Accident? Possibly. The city not pay its light bill? Probably. Ace Hardware pushing batteries? Maybe. But suddenly the evening took a different turn. Candles came out. Flashlights found. She primed the grill to warm all the bok choy and chicken leftovers. Almost like camping!!! As close as she wants to get to camping! And toorrow she will go to Ace to buy more batteries.
