We were all sitting inside, and sensing a shadow darkening our patio, looked up from our reading to find that we had a deer family poking into the screen door quite unafraid. Alice ran for cover, but I, Cecil, being older and more experienced, went over to greet them through the screen. They were not impressed and ate the rhodies instead. We did not invite them in for G and T's. We thought they might mess up the new carpet.
