Does this photo look like something on late night tv with Sarah McLachlan singing "In the Arms of the Angels" in the background while they ask for funds for the Humane Society? That's what Alice thinks, and the keeper had to agree with her. Today Alice had to pay a visit to the vet to get medical help for her allergies that have become an infection. She got an allergy shot and an antibiotic shot. And came home in a half hour. But for those of you who have never been through the trauma of being abandoned or left at a shelter, you must realize how traumatic this is for us.
We also had an epiphany this week. The keeper suddenly started to realize that Alice may have an allergy to chicken. Well, it's the only food we haven't kept from her, and she has had allergies since she moved here. So we are switching to an all fish, no grain regimen to see if that helps. I guess I will be eating fish too. It's fine. I eat almost everything.
