Fiesta in Redmond

Emma's grandparents flew up from Mexico, and Emma's mother prepared a wonderful assortment of mole and chile verde and rice and beans and more.  Some of the young adults were working to set up the whole event at the Redmond Ridge Community Center while everyone else was in church. All of these young people are now enrolled in colleges and working to pay their tuition.  They want to be teachers and social workers and psychologists, and they will do it!

The keeper left the party weeping for joy and sorrow as she headed to Bellevue to work with the immigration clinic and the community. Some days are so full, she told us.  She was finally relieved to melt into a chair at the cathedral and let it all sink in.
