Tonight we will bid goodbye to the keeper and see her early tomorrow morning for several hours, then she will be gone again, and again, and again. It's all about the Virgin of Guadalupe. From what we can tell, its all about flor y canto, roses and songs, mananitas and mariachi, thousands of people, tamales, and faith. A wild mixture of chaos, piety, beauty, and consolation. We are sure she will be bringing home many photos. She always does. But she can keep the tamales. They are pretty spicy for us.
I like when Our Lady calls Juan Diego, "Juanito, Juan Dieguito." Only mothers do that!
