We were thrilled when we saw the car come into the driveway because we were hungry. But first she told us we needed to turn on the Christmas lights to fend off some of the darkness. We obliged and went out for the lighting ceremony. Trouble is that we only have the tree and the rhodies done. Perhaps tomorrow there will be more lights up.
We were a little disappointed to discover that Revenge was not on tonight, so instead we watched her drink something brown with ice in a small glass, then eat chicken ravioli with green pesto. We had the usual tuna/chicken thing. But then we all watched Shakespeare in Love, which she had never seen. She was very taken with it. Very taken. We fell asleep mid movie. We think this was a good way for all of us to end this long day.
