Second Sunday of Advent

It was another one of those days.  The keeper calls it crazy week.  Not to be disrespectful or anything, but indeed, it is pretty crazy.  She tries to attend as many celebrations of the Virgin of Guadalupe as she can.  She eats too many tamales and spends a lot of her time with very large groups of people and gets little sleep. This morning was a bit of a practice run without the Virgin of Guadalupe celebrations. But the buzz is in the air. The young adults started out very early this morning distributing hot chocolate to the day laborers at several Lowes and Home Depot, then for hours she listened to testimonies of love gone very awry. By the time she got over to the church they were praying the Lord's Prayer, and the crowd was nearly overflowing even the vestibule.  Then it was time for more testimonies.  She fled to the cathedral for some tranquility and was not disappointed--music, preaching, sacrament.  The only disturber of the peace there was the new language for the Mass.
