Trinity Sunday Procession for Peace

What a weekend! We spent most of this beautiful weekend indoors and the keeper spent it either in church or her car.  This morning was typical: we waved goodbye early..she headed to Bothell, then to Carnation, them to Bellevue for what else, but church, and meetings.  Then there was a dip into Belle Square, which many people think is church, where  a young man she has known since he was a H.S.freshman helped her find shoes.  She ended up buying more because he told her he had decided to change his major to English literature.  So they had some great conversation about their latest favorite books, while she tried on more yet more shoes. We will say no more about this except that the shoes she buys always last for 6-10 years, and she travels in them.
So, you may ask, what about the peace procession?  Well, there have been some violent senseless deaths these last weeks, one very close to her old home in Madrona.  So, her friends in high places organized a procession between the two cathedrals.  It wasn't near the pro-peace, anti-war crowd numbers, but it was a good beginning. She walked both ways and ran into lots of old friends, and was quite taken by the Seattle Pro Musica and the Rabbi and the Imam at St. J's. Of course, she is always proud of St J's hospitality and ability to rise to any occasion so quickly and beautifully.
