This morning we had a hasty breakfast and we stayed home while she left for everywhere. First stop was the cathedral for the commissioning of the new Lay Ecclesial Ministers by AB Sartain. The keeper was happy because she knew each of them and had worked with each in some context. The only sad thing was that the church wasn't very full, and that the intern who worked with the keeper this year had a lot of people there between family and the women's justice circle. It seems sad that next week when one man is ordained that the church will most likely be full, and when five very gifted young lay ministers are presented to the Church, only a handful show up. The keeper told the head of the program that she wanted to work with them to change this situation for next year.
