Since January when he fell and broke his hip,
several of us have been accompanying our friend W
as he tries to get better.
Three hospitals and two skilled nursing facilities
later, he is now in hospice care.
Flowers from Tom A's garden give him comfort,
as does his beloved pelican from Maria's hand
which hangs on the wall of his room,
and memories of good times with four legged friends,
Lord Downs,
and Lord Cecil.
