We were excited. She was home by 6:30.
We sat next to our toys, hoping we would all play.
Instead, we were fed, which wan't a bad thing.
But we were hoping for a little bonding time.
She was more into bonding with the great ourdoors.
You have to admire--5 miles to the Lake and back and around, listening to
Krista Tippett interviewing meaningful people talking about meaning.
Maybe it's better than a bird toy.
She saw the mountain from a new perch.
And marveled at the fact the blackberries, though green and tiny now are slowly ripening.
And as an old friend says in his Irish melancholic way,
"There's always a touch of autumn in the air."
When she came back, she finally played with us until we were too tired to leap and twirl.
