This afternoon the keeper left me to go downtown to get a haircut and since she was there she visited Pike Place Market and found the second basement, which is teeming with delightful junk.
She also went over to the park to catch a glance at the monster Shell Oil rig which is such a point of contention. It is as big as a mega-mansion. She couldn't see any protesters in their kayaks, though.
