St. Pierre of Montmartre

A lovely statue of the virgin which thanks for her protection during WWII.San Denis, who was said  to have carried his decapitated head up the hill in Montmartre to die, preaching a sermon all the way to the top.

The baptistry was simple and elegant.

The keeper told us that she found a church she liked more than Sacre Cour---
The Parish Church of St. Pierre. It is much older than Sacre Cour, and has some old columns from Roman times..
