The keeper left us last eve for a night at the opera with W. But they met up for dinner with an old friend from her El Paso days who was in town for a writing conference with his spouse. We hear theyreminisced about some very crazy days...16 hour car trips to San Diego, scaling the fence into the SD Zoo. They somehow didn't imagine they would land in an animal enclosure! They seem to have left foolishness behind and are leading responsible and meaningful lives now. And after 42 years they still could recognize each other!
