Begging For Those Seeking Shelter From the Cold


Normally a CCS ask includes envelopes, pencils, and more.  This afternoon the envelopes were sodden, the pencils left behind. So, at the end of Mass the Keeper and several high school students roamed the crowd like beggars, or as the Keeper warned them, like Juana La Bautista, pleading for those most in need. She knows they collected more than they ever would have with the envelopes. And she  was so touched by the older widows who put in coins, saying this is all they had.
