Hello, July!

Happy July to everyone, and even to the neighbor cat who had the nerve to sleep on our front sidewalk while we were stuck inside! The keeper was gone all day. She had meetings in Seattle and flitted from one coffee house to another hatching big plans ... Latino religious theater, more St. Vincent de Paul connection with the Latino community--as clients and as volunteers. The she accepted an invitation to preach (with two others) at the Novena of Grace next March. She says they are all a big deal. Whatever....She said that as she was coming down from Sheridan Heights as she waited for the stoplight she was absolutely wonderstruck by the sight of a bald eagle soaring and circling and gliding like the Seafair King of the Lake...she kept praying the light would stay red. But it didn't. And she had to go to Bothell.

When she finally came home we got to go out and visit the spots where the neighbor cat hung out and then she turned on the soaker hoses. All the little birds came down to bathe and we had a field day. Trouble is, they jump back on the fence, as we pounce. They are not eagles, but they are too much for us! We went to bed earlier because we were tired from that much aerobic exercise.

The keeper starts a little vacation tomorrow and is very excited about doing nothing. That's our kind of life.
