The aroma of the daphne odora by the Seattle Center Fountain was seductive.
It is still working on blooming at the cottage.
The Needle has fascinated me since 1962
when as a 7th Grade class project I had to write and send a letter to someone from
out of state to invite them to the Seattle World's Fair.
I wrote to our former neighbor, Mrs. Oliphant, who had just moved to Southern California.
I don't think she made the trip.
But, I couldn't wait to see the Needle in person and ride in the Bubblelator!
I did. But I realized that was 55 years ago and I am old!
The moon broke through the clouds as I got home last night to end a great day!
