They are so beautiful. They smell heavenly. We would keep peonies in our home all year round if it were practical. But they are having a wonderful season this year, and we wish they would stay around longer.
Boy, oh, boy, do I love peonies. I can't grow them in San Diego. They need a bit of winter cold. Lilo and I shared a scrap of ham I was putting into a split pea soup. Now she is my best friend. The soup will be great tomorrow. I go to honey baked ham and ask for a bone. The sell them cheap with lots of scrap ham bits attached and they make great soup. Enjoy, Julie in San Diego
