We spent the whole day inside and looked forward to her coming home, Well, she came home, changed into what we would consider very nice clothes, fed us, and left. She also fed the interloper who stared at us through the deck windows. And we felt dumb being stuck inside unable to defend our turf. Alice howls a lot.
Later tonight she came home and we went out. Alice gobbled up all the left over food in the interloper's bowl. Although she is such a smart cat, what she doesn't seem to realize is that she is eating all of the food she refused to eat this morning. The keeper is recycling it and giving it to the interloper!
She promised treats so we came back in and got to hear about (and you can just imagine her talking about it!) a very lovely and fun Fulcrum dinner at the Rainier Club. She saw former parishioners who have grown up to be stunning, old friends who still are stunning, heard two fine talks by a pastor and principal (a former parishioner as well), and a jazz band from BHS, her godson's school.
