A Bit of Autumn

At our house summer is our favorite season by far. No other season comes close. And we start sighing when we sense autumn's approach.  So, we are sensing it.  The apples, though wormy, are ripening, as are the not-wormy pears. The students have returned to the schools across the road. The keeper is running around like a mad woman and saying she will never get it all done. And the geranium leaves are taking on other colors. Sigh. We hope it doesn't rush in. It has been such a lovely summer.
