At the Masses of Epiphany there is a tradition of chanting the proclamation of the dates for Easter and all of the liturgical seasons and significant celebrations. The keeper likes this. She offered to chant it to us, but we declined her offer. But we did note that although the ice is blanketing the flower patches, the rhodies and the camelias and the daphne in our yard are already proclaiming very quietly their preparation for spring.
