Yesterday we observed a real day off. It wasn't a day for sitting in the yard eating ice cream or sipping G and T's, but the keeper did no servile work, which for her means no talks, meetings, or prep. She did walk, shop, play in the garden. We watched California Chrome fail to grab the Triple Crown. She even fixed a fabulous dinner on the grill. I got a little of it. Then we watched Breakfast at Tiffany's, and marveled at what a well trained cat Cat was.
