Early this evening when the keeper returned home, we readied our house for the Trick or Treat crowd. The keeper only buys candy she really likes--Almond Joys. There is protein there, she claims. But my sister Alice decided to hide from all the visitors in the keeper's underwear drawer. We couldn't figure out where Alice went, and we looked far and wide. But we heard her little mews coming from behind the closed closet doors, and then from the inside of the dresser. She opened the drawer, and Lady Alice sleepily rolled over and went back to sleep.
