The keeper and I went outside in the wind. I napped. She picked up mounds of tree branches that had fallen down today. This year Fall seems to be about more than leaves and needles.
But after she had dumped all of the debris into Yard Waste, she felt a something crawling up her neck, and lo and behold, it was a Giant Orb Spider. Yes, she has more bites, but this spider was new to us, and so we looked it up in our spider book. It's yellow and actually pretty attractive, and not too poisonous to healthy humans. We released it back to the wilds. And she went to find the Benadryl yet again. Laudato si'!
