We stand with the sisters. We stand with Mother Joseph and all of the Sisters of Charity of Providence who taught thousands of girls and a few boys at The Providence Academy. The boarders said you could hear Mother Joseph still hammering through the night, a hundred years later. This amazing woman not only found the funds to build the elegant school and a hospital, she physically took part in its construction, even helping make the bricks and carving the beautiful oak furniture in the parlors. Her pioneering spirit lives deep in our keeper and we are grateful.
