Tonight’s consolations

Nature’s balm in a world grown so anxious.

true nature is never...

Much unrest and fear and chaos in the world of people these days.
But a Jesuit poet once said, “True nature is never spent.”
The keeper told us that when she was a child when people spoke about WWII, she could only imagine that each day for years was cloudy heavy gray.
This morning on a day of so much unrest in the world,
The sun came out, the dew laced the pansies and tulip leaves,
The daffodils shone, and the hummingbird sipped nectar.
The outdoors is a great comfort these days for us all.

Farewell for Donna

The keeper brought home a little box full of 1/2 of her lunch from the farewell for Donna. She was a beloved staff member who is going to move to Illinois soon.
Blue Water Bistro was a perfect spot.
They even gave out packets of orange Emergenceeto every diner!

Our Cottage Voted!

This has been a week of roller coaster living.
Pick a topic: coronavirus, NYSE, or politics.
But today she asked the ballot and drove it down to the LFP ballot box.
We hope every one else in this state plays their part.
The future is at stake.
