Penultimate LFP Farmers Market

She stayed home today to grade papers and read someone's dissertation. I thought it was about me.  But of course not.
However, she took a break to hit the gym and the almost final farmers market where she found her favorite flower growers and their exquisite arrangements.
Maybe she will pay attention to me tonight.

Bangkok Street Food

Last eve the keeper and Judy decided to have a simple dinner.  They found a sweet Thai place that took over a radical and wonderful bookstore at least 15 years ago. Happy Ninth Anniversary, Mark and Jessica!

It is indeed hard to believe that 9 years have passed since the keeper and another good friend flew up to the hamlet of Lake Louise and to the elegant resort to be with friends from Mexico and Seattle and Canada to celebrate with Mark and Jessica and their families. A lot has happened since those days but it will remain a sweet and gorgeous memory. And yes, they all look so much younger then!

Sky From Passenger Seat

The sky was stunning on the ride home.

as was the mountain,

and the marshes,

and some more familiar sights.

The New Farmworker Center

The designs were created by farmworkers and families!

So were the planters!

Several well known Church officials were present!

Scenes From an Open House

It seems that the keeper took a road trip to an Open House of a new Farmworker Center
in Mount Vernon. Welcomes, speeches, prayer, dancing, and food! And a wonderful gathering of people from many different worlds--farmworkers, growers, state reps, college people, legal people, social service people, church people, and more!
