Reading Assignment for Pop Culture Happy Hour

The keeper brought home a new magazine from her office.
It seems she is a real nerd when it comes to pop culture. But she learns a lot when she joins staff at lunch because she knows nothing. So today she was thrilled beyond measure to find a magazine in her office mailbox. We get a lot of magazines and journals at home, but this one has a lot more pictures!

Sidewalk Sale Heaven

A Few Bags of Loot

Tonight I waited again for my dinner. And eventually the keeper came home laden with bargains. It seems that she and a friend had been plotting this adventure since last year. U Village has a huge sale and the keeper's favorite store sells her favorite clothes (which frankly, I think are sometimes odd) at huge discounts. So they leapt into the crowd, which seemed to disperse upon their arrival, and they got dressing rooms and advice on how to wear some of the strange things.
She came home with bags and I finally got to eat. She had already dined. So I ate alone.

3 Act Journey: M.Div Synthesis

This morning the keeper attended a very powerful presentation of
an M.Div. synthesis given by the woman who interned with her this year.
It was profoundly moving, included recitation of Hebrew, great poetry, key points from every theology course taken, the music of Barber and Ralph Vaughn Williams, PowerPoint slides,  I movies, personal recollection. She had them weeping and celebrating her presence for a Church which doesn't  always appreciate the gifts given.

New Books for Spring into Summer

The keeper would rather read than admire me.
Today we received a pile of books which she will use to ignore me. She is trying to tell me about her Summer Reading Program which is different from her Fall Reading Program, but is an adult version of the way she would spend her summers as a child...ignoring others, reading piles of books. It seems she did the same thing with her childhood Fall Reading Program.
I asked her where the novels and poetry were. She told me not to worry. They are already on the shelves.

Small plates by the fire

The keeper was waylaid tonight because she ran into a friend and they decided to repair to their favorite spot for small plates at the fireside. She said the Brussels sprouts were very well prepared. The conversation was best of all, though.

Snails

Behold the small snail. I watched this creature from my perch on the blue table while I waited for the keeper to come home and feed me tonight. They were both very slow in making their way to the door.

The Lovely Transition into June

Last night we checked out the moon which was shining brightly into our home.
We forgot to post  them last night but given the gray day, thought you would all like to see the moon tonight (even if it was last night's moon!).
