Nearly First Full Moon of Spring
It's Holy Week.
Tennebrae took place tonight,
ending with one lit candle in the dark.
It was stunning to come out into the night and find another light
breaking through the dark clouds.
Easter is around the corner.

Last night we celebrated Joseph's return to Seattle ( for several weeks, at least)
and Steve's upcoming birthday..
Sand Point Grill was great!

Holy Week is Beginning!
It is Palm/Passion Sunday.
We gathered in St. Gym.
John and Joseph joined us.
As did a few others!
Three bishops, a great choir and the rest of the People of God.
We processed to and through the front doors of the Cathedral.

Back home for a Parish Celebration
After three weekends away, it was good to come home to the parish.
Today was the St. Patrick's Day Pancake Breakfast.
Tara Academy sent their dancers,
and Patty set Judy up with the Seattle Public Library on her phone.
St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Impromptu
A wonderful quiet St. Paddy's Day
with great friends, one of whom will be
a new HNA student next Fall.
Way to go, MG!
Carol has a whole drawer devoted to chocolates.
We are back home now
Just to let you know, she was not the only one on vacation.
We ave now returned from our spa on Beacon Hill.
Lack of opposable thumbs made picture taking a challenge,
so we will not bore you with any photos.
We believe you have all gotten your fill and then some of hers.
We are happy to be home, though,
and are receiving callers again.

Heading Home
The Reykjavik Airport is too small for all the visitors.
We waited in lines for buses to take us to
planes parked far away on the runways
and climbed up the steps to board the plane in
the cold rain.
We were quite a mob.
It was like an old Greyhound Station as we shuffled through the waiting hall--old women refugees with head scarves with their husbands,
families with strollers and crying babies, travelling students with torn jeans and I pads,
elders in wheelchairs,
and some tourists with cameras and selfie sticks. All just wanting to get home.

But, the view from the air home is
spectacular.
Au Revoir, Paris!
