Our mother, Mary Elizabeth, died at age 90 on Christmas Eve early on a San Diego morning
twelve years ago. We were with her vigiling that night become morning. I woke up out of a deep sleep around 4:30 am this morning, about the same time she took her last breath. I have a sense she is cheering all of us on since Christmas
was her favorite
time of year
and she knows more than we do
about what waits around the bend for us in the New Year!
Keep cheering, Mom.
I think we will need it!
