Checked Out

You may recall that we mentioned on Monday that the keeper bought a new computer for work.  We thought that was the end of it. Oh no, not so.  Yesterday the keeper spent most of the afternoon and later that evening at Best Buy, setting up the installation and transfer of files, etc.  She spent the afternoon gazing longingly at the check out line.  We told her it was a true Advent activity.  She was not amused.  Finally, by 10 PM the new computer came home with all the bells and whistles, and the old one came home too, to stay with us at home for the rest of its life. She said the Geek Squad has the most patient and entertaining people working behind those counters.  And the customers' stories are also pretty entertaining.  The keeper told us about the dog who chewed off the corner of a laptop.  The warranty did not cover that disaster.  We smiled and thanked God we had not been created canines.
