Down at the New Lake Union Park

Last week the keeper and a friend explored the new park at South Lake Union.  They had to step carefully because about 100 geese had covered the new sidewalks and lawns with poop.  We doubt the geese will be around for too long.  However there is a heron who hangs out in the weeping willow trees.  We hope that this heron sticks around and is more protected than the heron which was shot at another park.  Herons mate for life.

They also got to see all of the human activity on the lake--the seaplanes, the paddle wheeler with costumed crew, the kayaks, canoes, the rowboats, the sail boats, the wooden boats all polished and sleek, and of course the Chriscrafts sharing the same water. There is even boat which has ice cream cruises.
