Checking in on Notre Dame

Lots of cranes, scaffolding, and 6 story portable buildings to house all the teams working on it!

The Eagle Landed in Paris This Morning

We now have two new keepers. We knew she was going somewhere.
Too much running around these last weeks.
And she left a pile of cat food and instructions on the counter.

Happy Feast of St. Therese!

We had another early dinner, The keeper went out tonight to Mount Baker because she her old parish, St. Therese, whose community 30 years ago had taught her how to be a pastor, was celebrating the community and the fact that they have missed being together during COVID. She had a wonderful time seeing so many old friends and getting caught up.

Dinner with Joy and Her Magical Hidden Garden

Happy October, everyone! The blog is back after our 10 month hiatus.
The keeper fed us quite early last night so she could go off to pick up Peg and Judy for dinner at Joy’s cottage with its magically enchanted garden. After they celebrated Cesar Franck’s 200th birthday with an organ concert by Joseph Adam, which she said was quite amazing.

Unlike our garden, Joy’s is slowly moving into Fall with grace and elegance.

January Camino

The Witch Hazel is out and glorious,
But the mountain was a little more shy.

The End of the Keeper’s Life as a Shopgirl

Unfortunately, the owner in Berkeley decided to close the Seattle store.

He only gave us three weeks notice.

                                                                           It was very sad.

Welcome Back! We Are Back!

From the cats:  We have been very lax in our blogging lately and we appreciate many of our fans pointing this out to us.  The real problem has been our keeper who has been too busy to transcribe our thoughts and commentaries on her life and on our lives together at the Royal Cottage. So, we asked her to start it up and we will catch up with you later.  We are all retired, but she is not acting like one. However, her latest venture ended, so now she has time to blog.  Meanwhile we are going to nap and eat!
