Market Day with Dogs

We did not ask to accompany her to the market.

Lots of people and strollers and 

dogs.  Some too old to walk who come in wagons to see everyone,

and to hear the music.

The summer birds and flowers were readying themselves

for the fireworks over the lake tonight.

Sabbath Walk

 She left us for a very long camino to Kenmore.

She called it a Sabbath walk to lay down the burdens 

and invite Surprise to fill the empty.

She went looking for the mountain,

but the old friend was shrouded in cloud.

However, walking along the lake, she was swarmed by a pack of butterflies

who may have escaped a wedding. They didn't seem to want to stay still 

for beautiful photographs.

On the way home, a big feather from a big bird 

landed on her path.

and the roses glowed.
