Trick or Treat

Tonight was Halloween.  We couldn't go out.  The keeper, who now doesn't eat candy, brought bags of it home.  We had Junior High students coming to the door at 6, but no one after that.  We think they all went down to the house with all the gory heads.  We just had a porch light. Even though no one came, we still couldn't go out.  We think the candy is going to the Young Adult group. Maybe we can go out tomorrow.   .     . Sigh.

Here Goes the Neighborhood

The ghouls and severed heads win again.  The man who has this display told the keeper that he and his wife have been adding to it every year for the last 36 years. They have a special storage unit for all of their gorey gunk.

Altar of the Dead

St. L had its usual incredible altar of the dead and Fr. Phil was at the center of it this year.  Josue, who is standing next to Katrina is the artist. This is his last one for a while. He is being voluntarily deported this coming month. He also had an altar at Seattle Center. The keeper said that everyone was very sad about the news and blessed him at Mass.

Altar of the Ded

St. B's had a very impressive altar of the dead this year.  No food, tequila or cigars, though.

Fall Inside and Out

The only plant we could grow this very well this year is the nasturtium.  They are still blooming.  However, we had to buy the squash and gourds at the store. Maybe we need new dirt.

Waiting for Halloween

Saturday was a slow day for us.  The keeper worked at home and we hung out in the backyard mostly, watching hummingbirds and the squirrels. We hear Halloween is coming.  We think this means we will have to stay inside.

Six Inch Heels

Six inch heels.  No, the keeper did not wear them for Halloween, but one of the nail techs at Sense was showing them off because she was going to wear them in a fashion show.  The keeper said she gave the tech some modeling tips.  We didn't know she had walked the runway. But we doubt the nail tech will be able to walk in those shoes.
