Guarding the Laundry
We aren’t able to fold things—no opposable thumbs,
but we like to keep it all warm till the keeper can fold it all.

A Camino in Search of Witch Hazel
She stopped at the Arboretum on the way home from Jane’s.
And did some serious walking trying to sniff out the Witch Hazel that is in flower right now.
She had a hard time finding the scent, but was overwhelmed with color and fragrance and a few other early blooming spring flora.
A Visit with Jane
It was a great morning for the Keeper who visited with her friend Jane,
who had just started her 94th year. They always have plenty to talk about.

After the Day of Infamy
Wednesday was a good day to walk away from the ugly news.
It was a good day to find some signs of hope in the neighborhood!
Fire!
Right after Christmas a fire took down a whole little strip of little stores off of Lake City Way. They were immigrant owned, many of them, and we’re sure someone will buy the land for something other than a strip mall. But it’s a twisted mess of broken dreams and hopes.

A Happy First Day of 2021
Reading at the Cathedral
( and yes, the statue of the Virgin is back home!)
Walking five miles in the rain( and getting happily soaked!)
And coming home to tea and wonderful cats in the lap
to spend the afternoon reading.
