A Good Night to Roast Hatch Chiles

Day 2 of staying indoors. None of us at the Royal Cottage
Wanted to go out.  The fires from the Eastern part of the state are filling the sky with ash and
Stinky air.  It makes our lungs hurt.
But the keeper did venture out to water the garden and to roast Hatch Chiles.
The whole house smells like Chile now, way better than smoke.
There is a layer of dust and ash over everything.
But we shouldn’t complain. We are safe and have a home.

Happy Labor Day!

It was a beautiful morning for a 17k step walk.
The B-G trail was full of wonderful sights to behold.
And getting home, there was a thanks you gift waiting at the front door from
An older couple who snapped up the rain barrel we had set out with a big FREE sign taped on it.

This Past Week’s Project

The Keeper is very proud because she assembled the new patio heater by her own self after Lowes delivered a box of parts instead of am assembled heater.  We are getting ready for Fall Socially distant entertaining at The Royal Cottage.

A Morning Visit with Jane

What a great morning on Jane’s porch on a beautiful first day of September!

Saturday Night DInner Celebration

Saturday night we celebrated three retirements...the Keeper’s, Patty’s, Suzy’s.
Let the good times roll!
